Our name "Salaam"
originates from the same root (س ـ ل ـ م) as the Hebrew "shalom". These words connote completeness, fulfillment, wellbeing; a concept usually translated as PEACE.

We offer fine world cuisine in an exotic yet family-friendly atmosphere in Athens, Ohio.
Our menu is inspired by the foods of the middle east, north Africa, and the Indian subcontinent.
Our beef, dairy products, eggs, and much of our produce are locally raised; we bake our bread daily and prepare all our salad dressings and most of our desserts in-house, here in our family-owned restaurant.

Lunch: Monday through Friday from 11:30 until 2 pm
Dinner: Seven nights a week from 5:30 until 9:30
